What is the GWA’s job?
A GWA receives product from vendors, organizes it in the warehouse, and prepares it for delivery.
Does the role require heavy lifting?
Most of the job can be done with forklifts, conveyor belts, and other automated equipment, but a GWA may also lift product.
How much interaction does a GWA have with customers?
A GWA is responsible for getting a customer’s order correct before it leaves the building, but generally a GWA does not speak directly with customers.
Is the work schedule consistent?
Yes, a GWA has a consistent schedule that allows for planning time and activities outside of work.
Are there overnight shifts?
Depending on the warehouse, there may be some overnight shifts.
