The department supervisor  supports  multiple departments  by  coaching,  teaching, and training  associates. This role involves  a lot of  communication with associates to improve their career development and to ensure associates are providing excellent customer service.

What is a normal day like?
A  DS  comes  into the store and walks  their departments  and checks in with their associates  while taking notes  on what needs to be done.  They make a game plan, relay it to their  associates,  and  check-in  on progress  through out  the day.

Is the DS a salaried role?
No, the DS role is an hourly role. It is  a  great  next  step in your career  that trains you on how to develop associates and prepare for a salaried role.
