What is the Software Engineering Apprenticeship?
18-week immersive bootcamps – allows THD associates with little-to-no technical experience to develop skills that help facilitate a career transition into the software engineering job family. This is a full-time, 8 – 5 PM, Monday through Friday, transformative program for current associates interested in a career path change to Software Engineer.
What will you learn in the program?

The curriculum is full-stack web development: JavaScript, Node, React, SQL, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, APIs, React, Redux and more!

  • Learn to code and build enterprise web applications
  • Develop the skills needed to become a full-stack software engineer
  • Study the latest software development technologies on a collaborative team
What is the commitment?
Our program is a full-time commitment with the expectation for anyone to be present the entire 18 weeks.
Who can apply?
  • Any THD associate with a minimum of 1 year of continuous employment with THD.
  • Must be in good performance standing

What is the Product Support Apprenticeship?
8-week fully immersive class (business hours Monday – Friday), allows non-Technology associates the opportunity to participate in the training cohort to learn how to become Technology professionals. Product Support Apprentices train for 8-weeks to apply to become a Product Support Technician to help a broad range of Home Depot teams understand system issues and fix problems in a customer-focused manner.
What will you learn in the program?
Through OrangeMethod, Apprentices who are interested in growing into a product support role will learn the skills necessary to leverage troubleshooting runbook(s) to resolve incidents, create/update ServiceNow incident and change tickets, redirect and escalate Store production incidents, and engage in defined problem solving activities. Upon successful program completion, Apprentices who have demonstrated the skills necessary to execute on product support principles, will have the opportunity to apply to join a Product Support Technician/Specialist role within THD’s Technology Operations organization.
What is the commitment?
This program requires a full-time, 8-week training commitment with the expectation that students fully attend all courses.

Detailed application instructions will be available on myApron and YAMMER at the start of each recruiting season.
