Company Overview
What’s the best place we’ve ever built? The place where we work. At Home Depot, our goal is to provide the highest level of service, the broadest selection of products, and the most competitive prices. As the world’s largest home improvement specialty retailer, we operate more than 2,200 retail stores across North America. And each of our associates are focused one thing — helping our customers build and improve their homes, businesses, and ultimately their lives.
Position Purpose: Consistent with The Home Depot’s commitment to openness and transparency, we are informing you that a qualified in-line successor is being considered for this position. However, all interested candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. No selection decision has been made, and the final decision will be based solely upon choosing the most qualified and suitable candidate for the position.
This managerial role will focus on integrating tax data across all domestic entities, including SRS, HD Supply, and other non-integrated entities, into a unified platform. The role will cover tax data integration related to income tax, sales tax , property tax, state apportionment and one-source integration for tax provision and compliance. The position will require close collaboration with various functions within the Tax Department (indirect tax, tax provision, tax compliance, and tax controversy) and the broader Finance organization to ensure accurate and consistent data integration. A key responsibility will be managing the integration of tax solutions on the S4 SAP platform, optimizing tax designs, and ensuring smooth data transitions across the business. Additionally, the role will contribute to the company's digital tax transformation by developing technology-driven solutions to automate processes and improve efficiencies using tools like Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, and AO. The manager role will serve as a subject-matter expert in cross-functional teams, providing guidance on tax data management and strategic decisions. The role will also include mentoring and coaching associates within the department to foster innovation, growth, and continuous improvement in tax processes. Just like some other roles in the tax department, while this position will not have direct reports, the position will manage large projects across the HD organization. The nature of these projects, influencing stakeholders, developing and driving strategy are beyond the scope of expectations for a senior analyst level. As our technology function matures, the nature of the projects has been elevated and necessitates having an additional manager level role.
